PM consists of scheduled and standardized inspections and maintenance. Often called “scheduled service,” designations of A service, B service, C service, etc. are given to the levels of PM services. The further down you move in the alphabet, the more time consuming and complex the services.

Thanks to efforts by The British Columbia Trucking Association (BTCA) and their Task Force, our roads are safer! The BCTA finds and fixes problems in the National Safety Code Through the hard work of the BTCA, over 45,000 inactive NSC Safety Certificates were cancelled in 2012. The result: Many high-risk carriers were put out of business.

In addition, the Commercial Vehicle Safety and Enforcement (CVSE) implemented an action plan in 2013 to require a more comprehensive NSC application process. Read more
